Best known as the “Lone Ranger”, Lonnie Graham stared as a running back for the Golden Norsemen in 1952 and 1953.  Graham’s career average while at NEO was 12.8 yds. per carry on 90 carries for 1,313 yards and 16 touchdowns.  He earned several All-American honors and was the first known athlete to earn a letter in 4 sports in one year. Graham lettered in football, basketball, baseball, and track.  He still holds the Northeastern A&M Golden Norsemen record for the longest run for a touchdown at 97 yards.  Graham continued his football career at Texas Tech University where he lead the team in rushing in ’54 &’55. He played in the Blue/Gray game in 1955.
