Cletus Green’s lifetime of coaching spanned 50 years before his final retirement in 2007. In his long career as a head coach in high schools and colleges, Green directed teams for 767 wins and 421 losses. While at NEO for 16 years he lead the Norsemen to a 326-174 mark, which included 8 conference titles and 11 invitational tournament crowns with two teams making it to the National Tournament. During this time Green served as president of the National Jr. College Basketball Coaches Association. He has received a number of honors and awards which include being named as a member of the Oklahoma High School Basketball Hall of Fame; Seminole High School Hall of Fame and 1999 NEO Outstanding Alumni; and a number of “Coach of the Year” awards.
