Corey Ivy was a standout defensive back for the 1995 and 1996 Golden Norsemen teams.   A native of Moore, Oklahoma, Ivy brought speed, toughness, and intelligence to the secondary, earning a reputation on the field. After NEO, he transferred to the University of Oklahoma where he continued to excel for the 1997 and 1998 Sooners football teams. 

Undrafted out of college, Ivy’s professional journey was defined by resilience and determination. He signed with the New England Patriots in 1999, and later gained valuable experience playing overseas with the Frankfurt Galaxy in NFL Europe. In 2000, he joined the Cleveland Browns, and in 2001, he starred in the inaugural season of the XFL, leading the league in interceptions as a member of the Chicago Enforcers. 

In the Fall of 2001, Ivy signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and made his NFL debut against the Detroit Lions, recording six tackles. He was part of the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl XXXVII championship team and spent three seasons with the organization. 

In 2005, Ivy signed with the St. Louis Rams and posted a career-high 57 tackles and two sacks, earning a multi-year contract in 2006 with the Baltimore Ravens. While in Baltimore, Ivy was a key contributor to one of the most dominant defenses in NFL history.  He received the Ed Block Courage Award, returning from a kidney injury that was initially projected to end his season, he missed only two games. 

Over the course of his ten-year NFL career, Ivy recorded 280 tackles, 9.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and three interceptions.
