The Lady Norse ended their season at the Region 2 conference tournament as runner up.
NEO came into the tournament as the number four seed, facing Connors State in the opening round, dropping the first game 7-8. The Lady Norse went on to defeat Tonkawa 6-3 on Thursday for day two of the tournament. Day three featured a rematch with Connors, NEO coming out victorious with a 5-2 win. Saturday game on NEO faced Eastern Oklahoma State College and won a gritty 4-2 game, then facing an undefeated Seminole State College. The Lady Norse eventually would fall to Seminole 2-3 in a dogfight of a game.
Throughout the tournament the Lady Norse pitching staff was lights out, with a staff ERA of 2.2 and an opponents batting average of .228, while striking out 28 and only giving up 11 earned runs. The NEO offense totaled 30 hits in the tournament with 4 stolen bases, hitting in clutch moments and being exceptionally patient, taking 27 base on balls.
Gracie MacIntosh,
Avery Johnson, and
Danica Tune earned All Tournament Team awards. MacIntosh pitched 11.1 innings, giving up eleven hits on six runs (3 earned) with five strikeouts and two walks. Her ERA was a 1.85. Johnson threw 13.2 innings, with twelve hits, five runs (3 earned), five walks and fifteen strikeoutsHer ERA was 1.53.
Danica Tune flew around in left field, making some incredible plays. At the plate she led the team with six hits, 1 double, two walks, one strikeout, one sacrifice fly and five runs scored. She also stole a base and had two RBI.
The Lady Norse will return twelve sophomores with a lot of innings under their belt as the freshmen class culminated the majority of the starting lineup throughout the 2026 season, including three pitchers, Johnson, MacIntosh, and Amorosi.
