The NEO Norse volleyball team had a successful weekend besting Florida State College Jacksonville, Lincoln Land, Illinois Central College #8, and Enterprise CC #17

Coach Sarah Wall stated" Going 4-0 in the premier D2 NJCAA Opening Weekend Tourney with a lot of new players is tough to do. The coaching staff is so proud of the performance every player gave this weekend. We have a solid sophomore base as well and faced a little adversity with a few minor injuries. Lanie brown had an ankle sprain and freshman Lauren Reames came in and filled her role. Brooke Walker has been battling an injury as well and Amaya Rich came in and led a very strong offensive charge in the last 2 matches. Kaesha Walter had a great tournament as well, but we decided to give Ella Ramsey some extra reps in this season. She brings a lot of energy and passion to this team. We have so many weapons with so much depth and is was a great weekend. We feel success doesn't happen by accident and is what happens when everyone grabs an oar and rows in the same direction. We didn't just win games—we built trust, saw grit, and set a standard for where this boat is headed."
