The NEO Lady Norse Softball Team came out on Saturday, April 20th with a point to prove on their last home double header of the 2024 season. The Lady Norse hosted NOC Tonkawa and took both from the Mavs. In game one NEO won 11-1 in five innings; with 11 hits, four of them being extra-base hits. The Lady Norse also took four walks and stole four bases. Skyler Wade led NEO's offense with three hits in three at bats. Hadley Calico and Destiny Tune both had two hits. Madi Norton tacked on another hit in the second, and Emily Carpenter had a triple in the third inning. There were three big home runs in the game to help seal the win. Destiny Tune had a solo shot in the fourth, Camille Davidson led off the fifth inning with a line drive over the right field fence, and Kayley Iott called game with a monster three run homerun over the left field fence. Sophomore Lillie Johnson pitched the complete game, allowing only three hits and one run, walking one and striking out one. NEO's defense was sure handed in the field and didn't commit an error in the field.

Game two didn't come as easy and the Lady Norse had to earn their 10-3 victory. Fighting as a complete team through seven innings. Freshman Corissa Bandel got the start, giving up three runs on seven hits, walking one and striking out two with one hit by pitch. Morgan Wright came in and threw a perfect 2.1 innings in relief. Wright looked really sharp in the circle allowing no runs on zero hits, zero walks, and one strikeout. NEO's defense gave up two errors in the infield, but their offense stayed alive with eleven hits and the errors didn't come to haunt. The Lady Norse offense won game two in a different way than game one; having eight singles, two doubles, and one triple. Tonkawa also gave up five free passes in walks to help with NEO's run production. Corissa Bandel went a perfect three for three at the plate, with two singles and a triple. Destiny Tune went 3-4 and Sydney Price tacked on two hits. Presley Cole, Camille Davidson, and Skyler Wade each added another hit to the eleven hit total.
