The NEO Lady Norse softball team kicked off their first sweep of the 2024 season against Coffeyville Community College on Thursday, February 15th. NEO's offense came out hot with 16 total hits in the game. NEO scored in the bottom of the 1st and never looked back. Sophomore second baseman Sydney Price had her first homerun on the year in the bottom of the second. Freshman Madison Pratt had a triple. Hadley Calico, Pratt, and Destiny Tune each added a double. Kayley Iott had a three hit game, with two RBIs and two runs scored. Leadoff Corissa Bandel added two hits and two runs herself. Camille Davidson, Madison Pratt, Jayley Ray, and Destiny Tune also tack on a hit a piece to contribute to the offensive onslaught. Calico also had a sacrifice bunt in the second inning. The Lady Norse were quick on their feet with 11 stolen bases during the first game. Bandel, Iott, and Tune each with two a piece. Freshman Corissa Bandel got the win in the circle, with Skyler Wade and Jill McDaniel coming in relief. Bandel had four strikeouts. The game finished in five innings with a score of 14-6. 

Game two also went to NEO with a 9-1 win in five innings. Sophomore pitcher Lillie Johnson got the start in the circle and went the distance, giving up only one hit and striking out eight of the Red Ravens. The defense was perfect in game two with no errors in the field. NEO put up double digit hits again in game two with 12 total hits. Destiny Tune had her first homerun in the bottom of the 3rd inning. There were four doubles: Kayley Iott led with two. Camille Davidson and Sydney Price each tacked on one. Corissa Bandel and Camille Davidson each had two singles. Madalyn Norton and Sydney Price added hits in the game, and Grace Goins had the walk-off single to run rule the Ravens in the bottom of the fifth, scoring Norton. Once again the Lady Norse were quick on their feet with six total stolen bases. Norton and Pratt each had two. Iott and Lauren Christy added one of their own.
