On the night of homecoming, the Norsemen of NEO took the field with one thing in mind, add a number to the win column. A night full of huge runs and big hits is what lead NEO to accomplishing their goal. Offensively, the Norsemen were clicking in the run game amassing a total of 467 yards on the ground. They were led by Running Backs
Jamoni Jones and Tre'Juan Shaw, who both rushed for over 100 yards and combined for 3 touchdowns. The longest run of the night came from Jones who struck through the line untouched for a 70 yard touchdown. Quarterback
Perry Olsen added on another 85 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
Defensively, NEO continued their dominance forcing two turnovers, several sacks, and tackles for losses. Defensive Backs Devin Hembey and
Brandon Higgs both recorded an interception, with Hembry's being returned for a 61 yard touchdown. Five different defensive players tallied over 5 solo tackles a piece. Defensive Linemen
Damien Lowery and
Jon Goree led the way with 7 and 6 tackles, and combined for 6 tackles for losses. Defensive Backs Nathaniel Bryant, Cedric McClendon, and
Stanley Wynn each had 5 tackles a piece, with Wynn securing 4 for losses and timing up two thunderous sacks.
