MIAMI — Unable to overcome three consecutive team goals in the first half, the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Lady Norse suffered a 3-2 loss Thursday in a soccer match with No. 7 ranked Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa at Red Robertson Field.
While snapping a three-match winning streak, the Lady Norse carry a 10-4 season record into noon Sunday's game with Southwestern Illinois College of Belleville. The Blue Storm are 7-6-1 on the year.
The Lady Norse return to Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference action at 12:30 p.m. Thursday with a match at Midwest City against Rose State College. NEO is 5-2 in the conference while the Lady Raiders are 12-3-1 on the season and 3-1-1 in the OCAC.
Northern-Tonkawa (13-1-1 and 5-1) constructed a 3-0 score over the Lady Norse in the 45-minute first half.
NEO responded with a team goal at the 69-minute mark of the second half to create a 3-1 deficit.
