#17 Ranked Women's Soccer Wins 3-0

MIAMI - Remaining undefeated in the regular season, No. 17 ranked Northeastern A&M College Norse shutout Allen County (Kansas) Community College 3-0 Monday afternoon on Red Robertson Field.
Along with winning their seventh consecutive match, coach Lisa Bell's Norse notched their sixth scoreless match. NEO has surrendered only one goal the entire  season.
"We've been fortunate so far in that we have a group of very talented players all through the lineup," Bell said. "We're in a situation right now where we've been able to overcome injuries and remain dominate.
"Our talent level extends, not only through our starting lineup, but it carries over to our bench," Bell said. "So that when we do sub, there is not any drop off in the talent we have on the field. We haven't had that capability in past seasons."
After battling to a scoreless first half, the Norse broke through with three goals against the Red Devils defense.
Freshman forward Raunice Butler, from Nassau of the Bahamas, scored an unassisted goal at the 49-minute mark to give NEO the lead.
The duo of mid-fielder Marium Bartlett, from Fayetteville, Arkansas, to forward Paige Logsdon, from Muskogee, clicked to increase the Norse lead to 2-0 with 72 minutes gone from the scoreboard clock.
NEO's final goal came at the 84-minute mark as mid-fielder Charity Gozales, from Clebourne, Texas, eluded the Red Devil's defense for an unassisted goal.
Norse goalie Darista Herrera, from Princeton, Texas, recorded six saves during the match.
The Norse travel to Belleville, Illinois, for a 2 p.m. match Saturday with the Blue Storm of Southwest Illinois College. The Blue Storm are 4-5-1 on the season.
