MIAMI - Unable to attack the net the entire game, Northeastern A&M College's Golden Norsemen lost a 1-0 shutout Monday afternoon to the Allen County (Kansas) Community College Red Devils on Red Robertson Field.
"They scored on a set play about midway through the second half," Golden Norse head coach John Parrigon said. "We were just never able to answer."
Sophomore defender Victor Nodal scored the lone goal of the match at the 55-minute mark for the Red Devils.
With the loss the Golden Norsemen are 4-2 on the season while Cowley County is 2-5 overall.
The Golden Norse travel to Belleville, Illinois, for a 4 p.m. match Saturday with Southwestern Illinois College. The Blue Storm are 5-6-1 on the season.
