Janette Vele is an accomplished volleyball coach entering her second year as the assistant coach at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. Hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii, Janette brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the sport to the team.
She attended Englewood High School in Jacksonville, Florida, where she was awarded the prestigious All-Gateway Conference Award three years in a row (2010, 2011, 2012). Her exceptional skills as a Setter and dedication to the sport led her to play collegiate volleyball at Andrew College.
Following her collegiate career, Janette transitioned into coaching, starting her coaching career in Mason, Ohio. She served as the Volleyball Head Coach at Wright Christian Academy from 2020 to 2022, where she built and ran a successful program. Under her guidance, the team achieved remarkable results, securing two High School State Championships and one Junior High State Championship.  During the off-season, she dedicates her time to coaching Club Volleyball. Her expertise has been sought by renowned clubs such as Cincy Classics, Club BA, Ultimate Performance, and OKPWP, and she is currently associated with Tulsa Power Volleyball.
With a coaching tenure spanning seven years, Janette's coaching achievements are commendable. Her club teams have clinched two USAV National Qualifiers and finished in the top 10 (2016-2017) and top 25 (2022-2023).
Janette is excited to continue her coaching journey at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and looks forward to helping the team achieve new heights of success.
