Newley appointed first year Head Volleyball Coach and former NEO Lady Norse volleyball player Jalee Dollarhide, from Carl Junction, MO., recently completed her third season as Lady Norse volleyball assistant coach.
Her second year as the assistant coach, NEO was named District Champion, with an overall record of 17-12. This 2017 team went on to the NJCAA National Tournament in Charleston, W.V., taking eventual National Champion Coffeyville to 5 sets.
In 2018 the Lady Norse were the Region 2 Champion, and finished 24-14 overall. Jalee was also a paramount in the development of NJCAA DII First Team All-American Adna DeAndrade.
During her playing career at NEO she helped lead her team to a 25-4 overall record, become the district champion, and finished 10th place at the NJCAA National Tournament.
Jalee has been playing volleyball since the age of 10 and has had many personal achievements throughout her years. In both 7th and 8th grade she was selected for USA Volleyball power league. Her freshman year of high school she was selected to participate on the USA High Performance Junior National Volleyball Team. Throughout high school she competed on varsity for four years. Jalee was chosen as all-conference team, all-district team, and all-state. In 2013 she helped lead her team to a 33-6 overall record, and a second place finish at the Missouri State Tournament.
A 2015 graduate of NEO and a 2018 graduate of Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor’s degree in general Studies. Currently, Dollarhide is completing her Master of Human, Health, Performance and Recreation with an emphasis on sport management and sport leisure at Pittsburg State University.
Jalee and her daughter Jayaa reside in Carl Junction, MO.
