Zach Allen

    Zach Allen was named the 22nd Head Coach in the history of Golden Norsemen Football on January 16th, 2018. This was upon completion of his 9th season as a member of the Golden Norse coaching staff, this was Allen’s 1st season as Run Game Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. This comes after 4 seasons as Defensive Coordinator. As Recruiting Coordinator, Allen played an integral part in introducing high school talent to the rich tradition at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.

    In 2019, Allen guided the Golden Norse to a 8-4 record including an undefeated campaign at Red Robertson Field. NEO finished 3rd in the NJCAA in total Offense and gained a second straight birth in the SWJCFC Conference title game.  RB Darran Williams was also named Conference MVP.

      The Norse squad greatly benefited from Allen’s first season on the Offensive side. NEO finished 1st nationally in Total Yards and top 5 in yards per Game (518.5), Passing Yards (3,292 NEO School Record), Completions, Passing Touchdowns (34), Rushing Yards, Yards per rush, 3rd down Conversions and 4th down Conversions

            Following the 2016 season, Allen was awarded the American Football Coaches Association’s award for the best 30 coached under 30 years of age. In July 2017, Allen was awarded the Merve Johnson Integrity in Coaching Award.

             Prior to joining the Golden Norse Staff, Allen was a four year starter for the Oklahoma State University football team which included 3 bowl game appearances. A graduate of Edmond High School, Allen earned his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in 2008 and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2011 from Pittsburg State University.

             Allen married the former Samantha (Sam) Heinlein on March 10, 2012. Sam is originally from Edmond, Oklahoma and was a four-year letterman for the Cowgirl softball team at Oklahoma State University. She graduated with an Elementary Education degree in 2010. Sam currently teaches 6th grade at Will Rogers Middle School in Miami, Oklahoma and serves as the Head Middle School softball coach. Zach and Sam reside in Miami, OK with their son Cash (4).
