The Athletic Training Department at NEO A&M College is one of the most established athletic training departments at the junior college level in the state of Oklahoma as well as the mid-west. Serving 9 NJCAA varsity sports, Cheer, Rodeo, and Equestrian teams, the 2 full time Certified Athletic Trainers, one half time Certified Athletic Trainer and student trainers add valuable expertise in the areas of injury prevention, care of injuries and rehabilitative services to nearly 450 athletes.

Currently there are three functioning athletic training rooms with the main athletic training room located in the New Gymnasium. This 1,200 sq ft facility is used by all sports for treatments, pre-game taping, injury evaluation and injury rehabilitation. The Athletic Training Facility, or Football Field house, located at Robertson Field includes a 300 sq ft facility that is primarily a football training room and is the location of the Polar Zone cold Tub which is used by all NEO A&M College athletic teams. With the addition of the new wrestling facility in 2013 an additional fully functional athletic training room was added to the impressive list of locations used to care for some of the best junior college athletes in the nation.

The student athletic training staff includes 12 scholarship students, receiving books and tuition assistance for the academic year. Other volunteer student athletic training aide opportunities are encouraged, as many NEO athletes are interested in the field of Athletic Training as well as playing collegiate sports. During the school year the student staff may be as large as 15-18 students.
