NEO drops Conference Opener

NEO dropped the conference opener to Eastern Oklahoma State College on Tuesday, March 10th. MacIntosh took the loss for the Lady Norse. The right-handed pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs on three hits, striking out one and walking four. Holcomb set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading NEO with three hits in four at bats. Hall paced NEO with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing four walks for the game, but couldn't drive home the runs.

Game two was a tough matchup, losiing 3-6, with the Lady Norse scoring in the first inning. NEO had five hits and three runs over four innings, striking out five and walking none.  Amorosi pitched four innings in relief for NEO. The right-handed pitcher allowed five hits and one run while, striking out four and walking two. Barnes took the loss for NEO. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering five runs on three hits, striking out one and walking six. Amorosi, Holcomb, Hall, Howe, and Tune each collected one hit for the Lady Norse. Amorosi, Helm, and Marris each drove in one run. NEO didn't commit a single error in the field. Tedlock had the most chances in the field with seven.
The Lady Norse hit the road for a non conference game against Independence Community College on Friday, March 13th.
