NEO Lady Norse Gain Another Road Win
NEO women's basketball picked up an impressive road win Tuesday night, knocking off Northern Oklahoma College in Enid, 59–43, with a balanced effort and strong defensive showing from start to finish.
Ana Carolina Furtado led all scorers with 23 points, setting the tone offensively as NEO controlled the pace and built momentum throughout the game. Furtado was aggressive attacking the basket and provided a steady scoring presence whenever the Jets threatened to close the gap. Saniyah Morrison added 12 points, giving NEO a reliable secondary option and helping stretch the lead during key moments.
Defensively, the Lady Norse were anchored by Taneya Howard, who pulled down nine rebounds and helped limit NOC's second-chance opportunities. NEO's defense forced tough shots and held NOC to 43 points on its home floor, allowing the Lady Norse to pull away and secure the 16-point victory.
The win caps a solid road performance for NEO, showcasing both scoring depth and defensive intensity as the Lady Norse continue conference play.
