NEO Honors Program Celebrates Outstanding Students at Annual Recognition Ceremony

Miami, Okla. — On Tuesday, April 23, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) proudly celebrated the achievements of its Honors Program students during the annual Honors Program Recognition Ceremony. The event, held on campus, recognized 15 outstanding graduates for their academic accomplishments and contributions to the NEO Honors Program.

NEO President Dr. Kyle J. Stafford, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Dustin Grover, and Honors Program Coordinator Bobbie Pennington presented the students with their official Honors cords, which they will wear during NEO's Spring Commencement ceremony scheduled for May 8, 2025.

The following students were honored for their successful completion of the Honors Program: Corissa Bandel, Jason Calhoon, Justin Calhoon, Madilynn Campbell, Jiro Bedford Cardenas, Tyeson Gravenhof, Lillian Kichler, Brighton Lane, Peter Littlefield, Maggie Passmore, Arianna Rodriguez, Kylee Rollman, Jacey Smith, Jacob Szukelewicz, and Morgan Wright.

In addition to receiving cords, several students earned special awards for their exceptional efforts within the program:

  • Outstanding Service Award: Lillian Kichler
  • Outstanding Research Award: Jason Calhoon, Justin Calhoon, and Jacey Smith for their collaborative Honors Symposium Project
  • Outstanding Graduate: Corissa Bandel

"Our Honors Recognition Ceremony allows us to celebrate our Honors Scholars who have completed all of their requirements at NEO to graduate with Honors," said Bobbie Pennington. "It has been an absolute pleasure working with these students and helping them on their collegiate journeys."
