Box Score 2 The Lady Norse hosted Seminole State College for a Saturday conference match up, winning both games in the double header. The Lady Norse were stellar in the field, only allowing the Trojans to score a single run in each game. The pitchers both threw complete games and both had incredible outings in the circle. They kept Seminole off the bases, turned two double plays, and denied Seminole any chance to score. The Lady Norse continued to put up runs throughout the games to insure wins.
Game one ended in a 3-1 score, with freshman pitcher Dasia Mason pitching a gem. Mason only gave up three hits and one run, with no walks and four strike outs. She held Seminole to a measly .125 batting average. The Lady Norse had five hits on the game. Addi Hall led the offense, going 2-2 with a walk and two RBI's. Kayley Iott followed closely behind going 2-3 with a home run, RBI, and two runs scored. Corissa Bandel also tacked on a hit in the sixth inning.
Game two ended with NEO winning 7-1. Sophomore pitcher Jill McDaniel pitched the complete game never letting Seminole have a chance to get in the game offensively; giving up only four hits, one run (unearned), walking one, and striking out two. McDaniel's ERA on the game was .000 with Seminole only having a .167 batting average. NEO had seven hits throughout game two; Iott and Hall both went 2-3. Iott (2 singles), and Hall (2 home runs). Emily Carpenter, Madison Pratt, and Dasia Mason each had a hit a piece. Iott had an RBI and Hall had 6 RBI's as both home runs were three run bombs. The Lady Norse were patient at the plate and walked six times (Mason, Bandel, Iott, Cole, and Pratt). Emily Carpenter and Corissa Bandel each had a stolen base.
The Lady Norse travel up to Kansas City on Monday to play an out of conference double header with the KCK Blue Devils.
