Golden Norsemen Men's Basketball Wins OCAC Regular Season Title
 
Miami, OK. – February 28, 2023-
 
In the final game of the season at the NEO Fieldhouse, the Golden Norsemen sealed a win over Redlands Community College.
 
Along with another OCAC season title.
 
This title gives Head Coach Jeremy Jackson and the NEO Golden Norsemen 3 OCAC season titles in 5 years.
 
Julian Mackey recorded a triple-double and led the scoring for the Norsemen with 32 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. Always Wright contributed with 15 points, along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
 
The win gives the Golden Norsemen a 22-5 record on the season and a 13-3 finish in conference play. The Golden Norsemen have been on a tear lately, winning 10 out of their last 11 games.
 
NEO's Head Coach, Jeremy Jackson, said, "Our team has worked hard since August to be in this position. We made a goal to win the conference and accomplished that goal."

The Golden Norsemen will now move on to the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament, where they will look to win and earn a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament.
"We have a lot of momentum headed into the region tournament, but still have a lot of work in front of us and we're ready for the task," Jackson said.
 
The Region 2 Tournament will be held in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Wednesday, March 8^th, and will conclude Saturday, March 11^th. Game times and opponents are TBA.
