In what can only be described as an emotional night on the field, NEO Men's Soccer lost their second match of the season 1-3 to Crowder College.
The first half proved to be an even battle with neither team finding the net. Ten minutes into the second half NEO was penalized with a red card while players were shuffling for position on a defensive corner kick. As a result the Norsemen were forced to play a man down for the remaining 35 minutes of the match. Shortly after receiving the red card the Norsemen got on the board.when
Andrew Taylor scored his first colligate goal on a break away. Andrew was assisted by
Pedro Rodriguez on the goal. As fatigue set in from playing a man down Crowder started to gain momentum in the match. In the final 25 minutes Crowder would score 3 unanswered goals to spoil the night for NEO.
NEO will be in action again on Wed August 31st when they travel to Iola, KS to take on Allen County.
