NEO Lady Norse stayed in it until the end, but University of Arkansas Rich Mountain pulled away late in a 10-4 victory for game one. NEO evened things up at three in the bottom of the sixth inning when NEO hit back-to-back home runs from Payton Compton and Kate Faber. Tara Hall went homered in the eighth inning to try and make a late comeback. Faber took the loss for game one. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits and striking out six. The Lady Norse seized victory for game two in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single by Mahala Battiest with two outs to score Kate Faber. NEO earned the victory despite allowing University of Arkansas Rich Mountain to score four runs in the third inning. In the first inning, NEO got their offense started when Payton Compton grounded out, scoring leadoff Paxton Donaldson, who started the game with a double down the left field line. NEO collected nine hits during game two. Kate Faber and Paxton Donaldson each had multiple hits, Faber led with three hits in four at bats. Donaldson had two, and Torres, Compton, Horn, and Battiest had a hit each. Compton tacked on another home run in the seventh to tie the game at six in the bottom of the seventh. Faber followed with a single. Gregory reached on an error, and Battiest came in clutch with a single up the middle, with an error to score Faber for the walk off.
