NEO Men's Soccer traveled to Rose State College On Oct 12th with hopes of improving their conference record to 4 and 3. Allowing a goal in each half the Norsemen were unable to make those hopes a reality. In the first half a PK was awarded to Rose State following an unfortunate handball in the box. Rose converted the kick to take a 1-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game. Early in the second half Rose State would score on a break away to go up 2-0.
"This was a frustrating one," Coach Parrigon, "We played as good of a possession game as we have played this year, and moved the ball freely on offense, so we are happy with those things. If being able to do those things doesn't result in a goal however, you go home frustrated."
The Norsemen have 3 games remaining on their schedule and sit on the bubble of qualifying for the post season tournament. They will need to win at least one of the 3 to possibly qualify while winning two of the 3 will put them in the tournament for certain. The Norsemen continue their push for post season on Sunday Oct. 16th when they host Rich Mountain C.C.
