Roaring Comeback Puts Norsemen Soccer Over Rose State 5-4

Comeback Road win for NEO Soccer

Harry Sargent got the scoring going early in the match with a breakaway goal in the first 5 minutes at Rose State College Thursday afternoon. It didn't take long for Rose to answer however. Less than 3 minutes later Rose found the back of the net to even the score at 1-1. The next 20 minutes would be minutes the Norsemen would like to forget. Rose State would tally 3 more goals to take an early 4-1 lead over NEO.

NEO would find their footing for the remaining minutes of the half. With just seconds on the clock, Harry Sargent would produce again for NEO. Andre Rui took a throw in to Harry, where he would hold up a defender to draw a foul in the box. Harry converted the resulting PK to send the Norsemen in to the half down 4-2.

In the second half, the score would hold until the final 16 minutes of the match. Carlos Musoles found the net on a goal set up on a long run by defender Marc Rovira to start the comeback. 6 minutes later Alex Frances would score for the Norsemen assisted by Musoles to tie the game at 4- 4 with under 10 minutes to play. NEO would keep the offense going with Jayden Perry scoring the game winner off an assist by Cameron Eaves.

The comeback win is the second conference win for the Norsemen. They will go up against NOC on Sunday Sep 29th as they try for their second straight conference road win.
