NEO Beats Eastern 3-0 on the Road

The Golden Norsemen Soccer team traveled to Wilburton, OK on Thursday to face Eastern Oklahoma State College in their second Region II conference game.  Things started off strong for the Norsemen as Dylan Galhardo slotted a beautiful strike past the Eastern keeper early in the first half.  The game stayed 1-0 until Jayden Perry capitalized on a mistake by Eastern to make the game 2-0 midway through the second half.  The Norsemen then finished off the game with a goal from Cameron Eaves to make it 3-0 in the 72 minute.  "It was a good performance from us overall" and  "we were really proud of the work from our defenders today" said Head Coach John Parrigon.  "We had a few defenders injured and not one hundred percent, but several guy stepped up and helped us get our third shut out of the year." said Parrigon. 

The Men's team now sits at a 1-1 record in conference and 4-3 overall on the season. Next they face an undefeated Murray State College team this Sunday at 5:00 pm at home on Red Robertson Field.
