Game 1 of the two game Border Battle goes to Crowder College 10-5 ... "Coming out of a long 6 game weekend, we figured tonight first Border Battle Game with Crowder would be a tough one for us to pitch." Coach Ward "I felt that we competed well and if we would have had a couple of breaks go our we we could have won 10-5 instead.  The guys responded well and gave it good run but we fell short.  We needed a key hit early in the game that we did not get and we needed to play clean and we didn't. I was a much closer game than the 10-5 shows in the box score."
