After disappointing results in their first two conference games the Soccer Norse will look to get back on track against Eastern Oklahoma College on Wednesday evening. In what has been a road heavy schedule, the match will be their first home conference game and only the second home match of the year so far. The Norsemen are currently 0-2 in conference with a close loss to NOC in the final minutes og the match and a tough road loss to Rose State. With an up coming stretch of 6 straight home games, the Norsemen hope to make up some ground in conference and in their overall record.
"Of course we don't want to be 0-2 in conference, but we realize that we've had a tough opening schedule up to this point. We've played good teams and we've been away for 5 games in a row. In our last two games I feel like we've taken steps forward in learning our style. We are really hoping to find a new level of play now that we will be on a home stand for a while." Coach Parrigon on his season's progression.
The Soccer Norse will play Eastern Oklahoma State College on Sept 12^th. They then take a break from conference action with games against St. Charles Community College and Ecclesia College. Conference play will resume again on Sept 23^rd when Murray State comes to Red Robertson Field for a 5:00 P.M. match up.
