Scoring in the opening minutes of the match when Cameron Eaves finished a through pass from Angel Avelos, NEO looked to be in good position. The rest of the opening half would be a back and forth battle without either team showing clear dominance.
NOC would even the score in the first 10 minutes of the second half. After allowing the goal NEO felt the pressure and played much of the next 20 minutes in their defensive half. After weathering the storm NEO appeared to gain the momentum back in the final minutes of the half. The game however, would be decided with less than two minutes on the clock. NEO made a push forward but the attack was defended by NOC. Northern would quickly counter attack resulting in a break away attempt. Norsemen goal keeper Matteo Crescente came out to stop the attack, and nearly came up with the ball. Instead however he clipped the NOC attacker resulting in a penalty kick. NOC would convert and put the game away.
