COFFEYVILLE, Kan. — Four different players scored for Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College during a 4-1 win over the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in a women's soccer match here Tuesday, Aug. 28.
The Lady Norse (1-2) trailed 2-0 at the half and didn't get on the board until Cassidy Rumsey, a sophomore forward from Claremore Sequoyah connected at 23:50.
"It was missed opportunities on three corner kicks, which would have kept us in the game," Lady Norse coach Lisa Bell said. "We were getting lots of good shots by the forwards and midfielders."
The Lady Ravens got goals from freshman midfielder Isabele Attenborough at 27:55 and freshman mid Ashley Countryman about five minutes later.
Scoring for Coffeyville in the second half were sophomore forward Gabriella Rodrigues at 27:14 and sophomore forward Ana Ruiz at 24:09.
"Our defense was better and on and off, the ball movement was better," Bell said. "We definitely had some breakdowns. We need to improve out touch and decision-making when we are tired."
The Lady Norse travel to Sedalia, Missouri, Sunday, Sept. 2, to face State Fair Community College.
