COFFEYVILLE, Kansas — Snapping a 1-1 halftime tie with two second half goals, the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Lady Norse soccer team scored a 3-1 victory Tuesday afternoon over Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
While winning their fourth match out of the last six the Lady Norse are 8-3 on the year while the Lady Ravens are 6-5-1 overall.
The Lady Norse remain on the road for a 2 p.m. match Thursday against the Lady Aggies of Murray State College in Tishomingo. The Division III Lady Aggies are 5-8 on the season.
An unassisted goal by sophomore midfielder
Arian Laird gave NEO a 1-0 lead in the first 12 minutes of the match with Coffeyville.
Freshman forward Andrea Comper received a pass from sophomore midfielder Vika Hassel at the 23-minute juncture to create a 1-1 tie at intermission.
NEO regained the lead at the 58-minute mark on an unassisted goal by freshman forward
Zarah Arnaud.
The final goal of the match occurred with 13 minutes left on the clock as NEO redshirt freshman forward
Morgan Wooten scored an unassisted goal.
After trailing 5-2 in total shots taken during the first half, the Lady Norse outshot the Lady Ravens by a 12-2 margin in the final 45 minutes.
