MIAMI — Balanced defense and opportunistic offense carried the Northeastern A&M College volleyball team to a 3-0 victory Monday night over interstate rival Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College in the Student Activity Center.
The Norse recorded a 25-20 victory in the opening game before posting a 25-9 win in the second. NEO won the best-of-five match by a 25-23 score in the third game.

Eric Iverson's Norse are 12-2 on the season while the Lady Ravens are 13-9 overall.
NEO's defense made 45 digs and nine blocked solos while on the offensive side posting 31 assists.
Juliana Thomasoni, Adi Ethcheson and Carol Martins combined for six kills each to lead the Norse.
NEO remains at home Oct. 9-10 to host the NEO Norse Tournament.
