MIAMI - Solid play from the opening tip-off carried the Northeastern A&M College Norse volleyball team to a 3-0 victory Friday night over Ozark Christian College in the season opener at the Student Activity Center.

Eric Iverson's Norse remain on their home court for a 6 p.m. match next Saturday against the Lady Pirates of Independence (Kansas) Community College.
"Our setters were especially aggressive the entire match," Iverson said. "They ran the game well and I felt like they gave us an opportunity to involve all of our hitters, especially our middles."
After posting a 25-13 victory in the first game, the Norse won by a 25-18 score in the second best of five games. NEO gained the match with a 25-16 score in the third game.
"Serve, receive and ball control were all excellent tonight," Iverson said.
Sophomore setter
Adi Etcheson, from Jasper, Missouri, provided experienced leadership along with the play of freshmen setters
