The Norsemen wrestlers traveled to Great Bend, Kansas last evening, December 4, 2015, and rolled over Barton Community College 45-3 winning nine of the ten matches.
Leading the way for the Norsemen with pins were 125 lb. freshman
Logan Terrill, Ark City, Kansas; 133 lb.
Curtis Burnett, freshman, Independence, Kansas; 141 lb.
Mitchell Sellers, sophomore, Tahlequah, OK; 197 lb. Joshua Latham, sophomore, Chickasha, OK; and 285 lb.
Blake Andrews, sophomore, Grapevine, Texas.
Dawaylon Barnes, 165 lb. sophomore from Muskogee, OK recorded a 20-4 technical pin, and
Saul Ortiz, 174 lb. freshman, from Wichita Northwest HS, recorded a major decision 10-2.
In the feature match of the evening at 157 lb. sophomore
Kristian Holguin-Mendez, Sapulpa, OK recorded a 7-3 decision over 18 match winner from Barton and great Bend HS, Kade Sander.
Jacob Hill, 184 lb. redshirt sophomore recorded a 7-2 decision over Tim Johnson.
After returning late last evening from Great Bend, the wrestlers will load up again today, Saturday at noon for a six hour trip to Ft. Hays State College, Hays, Kansas for an Open Tournament.
