GLADSTONE, Mo. — After building a 2-0 cushion at halftime3, Northeastern A&M College's Golden Norsemen soccer team posted a 3-1 victory Tuesday afternoon over the Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods Monarchs at Happy rock Park.
The Golden Norsemen jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a goal by forward
Jordan James with an assist by mid-fielder
Sinue Rodriguez at the 10:36 juncture of the first half.
Rodriguez earned another assist with a scoring pass to mid-fielder

Maple Woods (3-5) only points of the match came at the 60:18 mark in the second half on a goal by mid-fielder Osman Mberwa on a pass from Bernardo Badillo.
NEO's final goal occurred at the 79:17 juncture on a kick by Rodriguez from a pass by forward
Zac Chism.
With the victory the Golden Norsemen are 8-3 on the season. The Norsemen return to Red Robertson Field for a 7 p.m. match Saturday with Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College. The Red Ravens are 4-7 on the season.
