TONKAWA - Snapping a three-match winning streak, Northeastern A&M's Norse women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 shutout Thursday afternoon in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference opener to the No. 19 rated Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa Lady Mavericks.

Lisa Bell's Norse are 3-2 on the season. The Norse return home Sunday to Robertson Field for a match at noon with St. Louis (Mo.) Community College.
First-year head coach Erin Hesselbach has guided the Archers from Florissant Valley to a 1-2 record on the season. Last year St. Louis made their second consecutive trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association National Tournament in Florida while finishing 17-5-1 overall.
Against the NOC Lady Mavericks, veteran forward Leaha Gragg scored a goal in each half to provide the margin of victory. Gragg's first goal came at the 2:18 mark of the first half off a pass from midfielder Rikke Randup.
Midfielder Alma Figueroa completed a pass to the streaking Gragg which resulted in the final goal at the 87:34 juncture in the second half.
