Box Score Erupting for 26 runs, Northeastern A&M's Golden Norsemen swept a double-header 13-3 and 13-7 Friday against Southwestern Community College on Homa Thomas Field.
While remaining undefeated during 10 home games and extending their winning streak to six games, coach
Roger Ward's Golden Norse are 13-3 on the season. Weather permitting the Norsemen are schedule to host Southwestern Iowa Saturday in a double-header starting at noon.
The Golden Norsemen are scheduled to play a five-game road trip in Arizona starting on Wednesday. NEO will face Chandler-Gilbert Community College at 2 p.m. (MST) in Chandler, Ariz. on Wednesday. The Coyotes are 12-11 on the season.
Traveling to Tuscon, Ariz., on Thursday and Friday, the Golden Norse play the Pima Community College West Campus Aztecs (11-9) at 10 a.m. (CDT) and Central Arizona College Vaqueros (15-6) at 2 p.m. (CDT).
Visiting Prescott, Ariz., on Friday, the Golden Norse play a single nine-inning game with the Yapavai College Roughriders (11-10) at 2 p.m. (MST).
Concluding the western swing on Saturday, the Norsemen travel to Scottsdale, Ariz., for an 11 a.m. (CDT) game with the Scottsdale Community College Fighting Artichokes (11-9).

Wise, hitting in the leadoff spot collected three of the 11 total Golden Norse hits.
Zach Cantwell allowed one run on two hits in four innings of work to earn the victory. Cantwell struck out four and walked three.
Marc Berube struck out six while allowing two runs on two hits in two innings of relief.
A 12-run second inning carried the Norsemen to a 13-7 win in the nightcap.
Justin Webb collected a two-run home run while Gunter produced four RBI with a bases loaded triple and a sacrifice fly. Jed Owen contributed a two-run double while Wise added an RBI double.
The Spartans scored all seven runs in the top of the second inning off NEO starter Deen Deetz. Four other Golden Norse pitchers finished the seven-inning game.
