Community College Cardinals. While absorbing their second straight loss, coach Eric Iverson's Norse are 5-2 on the season. The Cardinals stand 4-8 on the year. NEO travels to Iola, Kan., Monday for a 6 p.m. best three-out-of-five match with Allen County Community College. The Red Devils are 3-3 on the year. "This match was a coaching train wreak," Iverson said. "After we loss 3-0 on Monday at Coffeyville, Kan., I think we might have over-coached this team during Tuesday's practice session. "We might be searching too soon to correct things that a team as young as we are just have to find themselves," Iverson said. The Norse gained a 26-24 victory in the first game against the Lady Cardinals. "Instead of leaving well enough alone, I played three entirely different rotations in each of the final three games," Iverson said. "As head coach, I accept full responsibility for the way we play." The end result for the Lady Norse were losses of 25-21, 25-14 and 25-16 to give Labette the match. "We're not looking for anybody to blame," Iverson said. "We win as a team and we loose as a team. We just didn't play with the confidence that had produce five straight wins for us. "We were committing errors both with our hitting and our passing," Iverson said. "We just hate to loose in our home gym and in front of such a huge crowd. It was great to have that kind of turnout for a volleyball match." Print Friendly Version
