NEOSHO, Mo. - After suffering an abysmal 2-0 loss to Crowder College, Northeastern A&M's 11th ranked Lady Norse rallied for an 8-5 win over the Lady Roughriders Wednesday in the final non-conference double-header of the regular season.
With the split coach
Eric Iverson's Lady Norse are 33-8 on the season while the Lady Riders finish the regular season with a 36-16 mark.
Jessica Neely doubled in the bottom of the first inning to start the first game for Crowder. Shelby Stuck reached on a bunt with Neely advancing to third. As Stuck stole second, Neely scored on an error by
Lexie LaValley at shortstop.
Singles by Morgan Coleman and Shyanne Nichols sandwiched around a sacrifice bunt by Kala Crisp gave Crowder a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Singles by LaValley,
Megan Higgins and
Alexis Riley were the only offense generated by NEO.
"This was the most lethargic game I've ever seen us play," Iverson said. "We've never had a problem getting emotionally ready to play at Crowder, but it was like we never showed up."
With the score tied 4-4 through seven innings of the second game, the Lady Norse erupted for four runs in the top of the eighth inning for an 8-4 win.
Aubrey Sutterfield double to start the Lady Norse rally.
Ashton Pratt reached on a fielder's choice as Sutterfield was thrown out at the plate. A walk to

Courtni Clark singled scoring Pratt before Higgins doubled scoring Donathan, LaValley and Clark for an 8-4 rally.
LaValley, Clark, Higgins and Sutterfield produced two hits each to lead the Lady Norse 10-hit attack.
