COFFEYVILLE, Kan. – Consecutive singles by Chase Radar, Jordan Dodges and a RBI single by Zach Stuckey rallied the Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College Red Ravens to a 4-3 victory over 13th ranked Northeastern A&M after the Golden Norse rolled to an 8-1 win in the first game of a double-header Tuesday at Red Raven Field.
With the split coach
Roger Ward's Norsemen return home Wednesday for a 1 p.m. double-header with Moraine Valley Community College of Palos Hills, Ill., at Homa Thomas Field with an 11-4 season record. The Red Ravens are 10-10 on the season.
Single runs in the bottom of the first and second innings gave the Red Ravens a 2-0 lead heading into the top of the third frame.
A base hit by
Alex Wise and a walk to
Ramon Laureano started a rally for NEO. After both runners advanced on defensive indifference,
Kevin Meyers hit a sacrifice fly to left scoring Wise for a 2-1 deficit.
Coffeyville responded with a run in the bottom of the third for a 3-1 margin.
Laureano doubled to right-center leading off the top of the fifth inning before
Jackson Morris lined an RBI single to left scoring Laureano for a 3-2 deficit.

Greg Husnander reached on an error to start the top of the seventh inning,
Hector Candelaria reached on an error as pinch runner
Justin Webb went to third. A sacrifice fly to left by Justin Goode scored Webb for a 3-3 tie.
Jonathan Stewart collected two of the seven Golden Norse hits.
Maintaining a 1-0 lead going into the top of the fifth inning in the first game, the Golden Norse tallied four runs on a two RBI single by
Andrew Standifer along with RBI singles by Wise and
Angel Ortiz.
Wise tripled with one out in the top of the sixth inning to start a three-run NEO inning. Laureano singled scoring Wise before singles by Meyers, Ortiz and Standifer accounted for two more runs and a 8-0 cushion.
Ortiz and Wise each generated three hits as NEO outhit the Ravens by a 10 to seven margin.
