2/20/2013 6:15:00 PM

Sophomore starting guards Eliana Fernandez and Megan Schieber will be recognized prior to tipoff between the Northeastern A&M Lady Norse and the Redlands Lady Cougars Thursday at 6 p.m. in the NEO Fieldhouse.

The annual Hall of Fame Dixie Woodall dinner will be held at 5 p.m. in the O Club Room of the NEO Fieldhouse. The Dixie Woodall Inspirational Award will be presented to a Lady Norse sophomore between the women's and men's game.
“We've got a good pair of sophomores that I really hate to let go of,” Lady Norse head coach Jim Rowland said. “Unfortunately, that's the nature of our business and we're trying to stress to the team what's important.
“We have got to set our emotions aside and concentrate on these three remaining games,” Rowland said. “We're still very much in the hunt for the conference championship, but we have to focus on each game individually.”
Following a 66-55 win at Carl Albert State College on Monday, the Lady Norse are tied with 20th ranked Northern Oklahoma-Enid for second place with an 11-4 lead record and 18-7 overall.

Freshman center Sofia Mendoza (6-5 from Columbia, South America) has been slowed with a twisted ankle suffered at Poteau. “Sofia is day-to-day and will definately we ready to play at Seminole on Monday,” Rowlans daid.
