Box Score POTEAU – Connecting on a near-perfect 10 of 11 field goals, freshman forward Frederick Santos scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Northeastern A&M Golden Norsemen to a 71-61 victory Monday night in the Mickey Thompson Fitness Center over Carl Albert State College.


Coach Dustin Grover's Golden Norse are 15-12 on the season and 8-7 in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Norsemen conclude the home portion of the schedule Thursday with “Sophomore Night” at 8 p.m. against Redlands State College in the NEO Fieldhouse.
Head coach Mike St. John's Vikings are in a “spoilers role”. The Vikings are 1-14 in the OCAC and 3-21 overall.
Santos reached the double-double plateau for the 21st time this season after the Norsemen got off to a blazing start by sinking 16 of 21 field goals for 76 per cent in the first half which crated a 34-20 margin.
Along with the 25-point performance by Santos, NEO received 16 points from Jeff Newberry, Derrick Frye six, Nkosi Ali six, Rufus Brown four, Luther Thomas four, Ja'mill Powell four, Jake Roach three and Terrance Clemens three.
Adrion Webber tallied 22 points and Jaymere Hayden added 20 to lead the Vikings along with Josh Gracie 11, LaShawn Gallion six and Josh Ashley two.
