Box Score POTEAU — With four games left until the Christmas break, Northeastern A&M's Golden Norsemen travel to the Mickey Thompson Fitness Center Tuesday for an 8 p.m. Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference clash with the Vikings of Carl Albert State College.

Coach Dustin Grover's Golden Norse are 1-1 in the conference and 8-4 on the season. Last Wednesday the Norsemen cruised to a 102-66 victory over the Missouri Valley College junior varsity in Marshall, Mo.
The Golden Norsemen return to the NEO Field House Thursday to conclude the home portion of the first half of the season at 7:30 p.m. against Western State College. The Pioneers are 10-2 on the season and 1-1 in the OCAC.
"We're looking for consistent play in these last four games from guys that have been on the floor a lot this fall," Grover said. "We want to be more consistent on both ends of the floor, but especially on defense.
"At this point we still don't have our rotation set," Grover said. "We've got some freshmen that are really going to help us as soon as they understand, especially on the defensive end, the things we are trying to do."
Longtime head coach Mike St. John has guided the Carl Albert Vikings to a 1-8 season record and a 0-2 mark in the conference. The Vikings dropped a 93-73 decision last Saturday at Clarendon, Texas.
"Carl Albert is another one of these teams where their record really isn't indicative of how good a team they are," Grover said. "They played some pretty good Texas teams and have come close to winning some of those games."
Last season the Vikings finished 1-17 in the OCAC and 3-25 overall which included two losses to the Golden Norsemen during the regular season.
NEO cruised to an 82-64 victory in the NEO Field House behind 18 points and 15 rebounds by forward Fred Santos while Ja'mill Powell added 19 points. "Our ability to put the ball in the basket has been pretty good so far," Grover said. "If we ever get to where we're hitting shots consistently on the perimeter, we'll be a well-balanced basketball team."
Sophomore guards Katrell Henry and Taylor Rains are the lone returnees for the Vikings.
Henry (6-5 from Upper Marlboro, Md.) has a 17.3 scoring mark and a 3.8 rebounding average with 33 assists and 11 steals.
