Box Score HUTCHINSON, Kan. - Topping the 100-point plateau for the third time in six games, Northeastern A&M's Golden Norsemen cruised to a 102-74 victory over the Bethel (Kan.) College junior varsity Friday night in the opening round of the Hutchinson Community College Classic at the Sports Arena.

Dustin Grover's Golden Norse carried a 5-1 season record into Saturday's clash with the No. 4 ranked Hutchinson Blue Dragons. Coach Steve Eck's Blue Dragons entered the game with a perfect 5-0 record following a 102-91 win over Redlands College in Friday's first round.

Igor Ibaka, the Golden Norsemen opened up a 26-13 cushion in the first 10 minutes of the opening half against Bethel (2-2). Ibaka scored 12 of his game total 16 points during the run while sophomore forward
Derrick Frye contributed eight points along with a 3-point field goal by Terrance Clemens and
Ja'mill Powell added three free throws.
Consecutive 3-point field goals by Josh Peterson and Jenson Kingsley rallied the Threshers to a 27-19 deficit with 7:36 left in the first half.
After NEO received layups from
Jake Roach and
Christian Leach, the Threshers responded with 3-point field goals by Kyle Regier and and Malcolm Mustin to trail 31-25 at the 5:31 juncture.
Two layups by Powell and one each by Frye and Lionel Green Jr. propelled the Norsemen to a 43-33 advantage at halftime.
During the first five minutes of the second half, four points each by Ibaka and Frye along with layups by Leach and Powell produced NEO's largest lead at a 55-38 margin.
The depth of the Golden Norse bench began to wear on the Eagles over the final 15 minutes as NEO received points from 11 of 12 available players.
Five NEO players scored in double figures while Ibaka tallied 16 points and added 11 rebounds. Leach led the Golden Norse with 17 points, Powell 14, Frye 13, Green Jr. 10,
