PARIS, Texas — After a two-day whirlwind trip from Independence, Mo., to Paris, Texas, the Northeastern A&M Norse women's soccer team split two matches.


Squaring off against Metropolitan Community College-Blue River (6-5-1) on Friday in Missouri, coach Lisa Bell's Norse posted a 3-2 win.
Making the 437-mile trip south to Paris, Texas on Saturday, the Norse suffered a 5-0 shutout at the hands of Paris Junior College (9-2-1). Two goals by Cindy Rangel along with goals by Morgan Flippen and Brittney Perez all occurred in the first half for the Dragons.
The Norse carry a 2-9-1 into Tuesday's 2 p.m. match with Hill College at Hillsboro, Texas. The Rebels are 5-5-1 on the season.
