Mike Cannon is currently serving as the Offensive Line Coach at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, returning for his second stint with the program. Known for his ability to develop elite offensive line talent and instill physical, disciplined units, Cannon brings over a decade of coaching experience across all levels of collegiate football.
Prior to his return to NEO, Cannon spent three seasons at Missouri Valley College, where he served as the Offensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. In the spring of 2024, he was promoted to Assistant Head Coach, a testament to his leadership and impact on the program.
Before Missouri Valley, Cannon coached two seasons at Dodge City Community College in Kansas, where he held the titles of Offensive Line Coach and Run Game Coordinator. During his tenure, he developed six offensive linemen who went on to sign with NCAA Division I programs. His first tenure at NEO was also productive, producing five Division I offensive line signes.
Cannon has also had significant success at Langston University (OK), where he served as the Offensive Line Coach, Run Game Coordinator, and Recruiting Coordinator. Under his guidance, Langston compiled a 19-3 record over two seasons, becoming one of the most efficient rushing offenses in the NAIA. He coached numerous all-conference selections and mentored CJ Carrillo, a nationally recognized NAIA All-American and one of the strongest offensive linemen in the country. In 2018, Langston led the NAIA in yards per play (7.65) and finished second in total offense.
Cannon’s collegiate coaching journey also includes stops at:
• Northwestern State (Louisiana) (NCAA DI FCS) – Assistant Offensive Line Coach (2014)

He also coached at his alma mater, Durant High School in Plant City, Florida, where his leadership contributed to a district championship.
Cannon played Collegiately at the University of New Mexico (2006–2010), where he was a senior captain and earned Mountain West Conference All-Academic Team honors. Following his college career, he continued playing internationally with the Kragujevac Wild Boars in Serbia.
