Trent Hosick (28) will be entering his second season on staff for the Norsemen as Offensive Assistant and Quarterbacks Coach. After his days playing Quarterback FBS, FCS, as well as JUCO, Hosick began doing individualized quarterback training before spending a year as an assistant coach at the High School level.
Hosick was the #2 ranked Dual-Threat QB according to Scout.com in 2012, and had 32 BCS offers out of high-school. Hosick led the Staley Falcons to their first football state-championship and undefeated season in school history.
Hosick was a national finalist for the Wendy’s High School Heisman in New York City, finalist for Missouri Gatorade POY in 2011 & 2012, KC Metro POY, finalist for Simone Award, and the #2 overall recruit in Missouri.
He then went on to play at the University of Missouri for one season, where they played for an SEC championship and won a Cotton-Bowl championship.
He then transferred to NEO before ending up at Arizona Western JUCO before leading them to two WSFL Championships, one undefeated season, and winning NJCAA Offensive POW multiple times as well as All-American status.
Hosick’s second season of JUCO began as the pre-season #1 QB recruit in the nation. After a second season of JUCO plagued with injury, Hosick then went to Youngstown State University to finish his playing career under Bo Pelini. After a career ending collarbone break to Hosick’s throwing shoulder his Junior season, Hosick spent his last season under Pelini on the defensive side of the ball in the Safties room, to grow his understanding of football and prepare for a coaching career.
Hosick was also a multiple time state-champion wrestler, including an undefeated season at Heavyweight his final year wrestling, his Junior season.
Trent is not married and does not have children. He is one of four children to Tom and Colby Hosick, who reside in Missouri. Hosick’s sisters are singers in Branson, MO and his eldest brother Taylor was a wrestler at Oklahoma State from 2005-2009.
Hosick graduated from Arizona Western with an Associates Degree in Communication and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Youngstown State.
