Ryan Alexander is entering his first season as a member of the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M football staff in 2020, serving as the Defensive Backs Coach for the Norsemen this season.

In 2019, Alexander took on a larger role coaching the Fairmont State secondary, helping senior cornerback Michael Porter earn All-America honors for the second time in his career (2017, 2019). Porter was also a first team All-MEC and second team All-Super Region 1 pick by the Don Hansen Gazette. Also after making the move from Wide Receiver in the spring, Starting cornerback Desoto Mckenzie finished second in the conference in interceptions (4).

In 2018, Alexander served as a quality control coach on the defensive side of the ball and assisted in coaching the defensive backs. Michael Porter and Stephen Turner each earned first team All-MEC honors in the defensive backfield for the Falcons in 2018.

Prior to joining the coaching staff, Alexander played three seasons for the Falcons as a safety. Alexander played his freshman season at Norfolk State before making the transition to Fairmont State.

Originally from Dumfries, Va., Alexander was a standout high school player at Potomac High School.
