Coach Rice is a graduate of Northeasatern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Coach Rice is entering his second year as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach. In his first year with the Norsemen, Rice guided an offense that finished third in the country in Total Offense, as well as featured the conference offensive MVP, while helping NEO reach the SWJCFC conference championship game and an appearance in the Midwest Classic Bowl.
Coach Rice earned his degree at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Coach Rice was a part of the Lone Star Conference North Championship team. After his time at NSU, Rice went on to work at Bixby High School for a year, then Charles Page High School in Sand Springs.
While in Sand Springs, Rice served as the Head Boys and Girls Track Coach, running backs coach for a year, and offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for a year. In his second year the Sandites went on to make a semi-final appearance, while having their QB set the school record for completion percentage for the season.
After his time in Sand Springs, Rice moved on to Bartlesville High School as Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks coach/Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. In Rice’s first year the Bruins improved from 5-5 to 10-2. During that time the Bruins broke many offensive records, boasted 6As leading passer, and made an appearance in the Semi-Finals. After his time in Bartlesville, Rice took over as the head football coach at Miami High School. Rice was tasked with re-building the Wardog football program as well as strength and conditioning program. Rice was Coach Zach Allen’s first hire here at NEO.
Rice resides in Miami with his two dogs Charlie and Lozen.
