Both teams were strong in the circle on Monday, but Kansas City Kansas Community College was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-0 victory over NEO.
Mason started the game for NEO Lady Norse Softball and recorded 18 outs, giving up six hits with one walk and one strikeout; fielding her position perfectly with six assists in six chances. Defense had one error in the frame. It was a pitching dual for both teams, tied at 0 until KCK scored two in the fifth inning. NEO had five hits in the game.
Kyler Howe led the team with two hits in three at bats.

Caylee Holcomb drew a walk.
Game two was a different story, with NEO firing up the bats and securing a 7-0 win. There were nine total hits in the game. Helm and Howe both had two hits, while Bieber, Hall, Holcomb, Tedlock, and Tune each had a hit a piece. Tune and Holcomb both recorded doubles.
Riley Kelly and
Torey Tedlock each drew a walk in the game and would come around to score.
Gracie MacIntosh pitched the 7 innings, giving up only two hits (0 runs), with three walks and three strikeouts. Defense was perfect with zero errors in the field and two double plays turned.
The Lady Norse hit the road for a conference match up against Eastern Oklahoma on Thursday, April 16th.
