Lady Norse Surge Past ASU Mid-South at Crowder Classic

Lady Norse Use Explosive Second Half to Power Past ASU Mid-South, 80–41

After a 12-day stretch without a competitive game, the Northeast Oklahoma A&M Lady Norse shook off early rust and surged to a dominant 80–41 victory over Arkansas State University Mid-South on Tuesday night.

NEO opened the contest with a slower offensive rhythm, working to regain game speed after the extended break. Despite the sluggish start, the Lady Norse maintained composure, leaned on their defensive pressure, and gradually built momentum heading into halftime.

That momentum turned into a full-force surge in the second half.

NEO came out of the locker room with renewed energy, pushing the pace, attacking in transition, and stringing together defensive stops that ignited a decisive scoring run. The Lady Norse controlled every facet of the final two quarters, showcasing the depth, speed, and cohesion that have defined their season.

Ana Carolina Furtado led all scorers with 18 points, providing a steady offensive presence and sparking the second-half run with her aggressiveness around the rim. Multiple Lady Norse contributed across the board as NEO's balanced attack overwhelmed the Lady Greyhounds down the stretch.

The 39-point win marks a strong return to action for NEO after the nearly two-week layoff and sets a confident tone as the Lady Norse move deeper into their season.

NEO will look to build on tonight's performance as they return to play tomorrow afternoon at 1:00PM vs KCKCC in Neosho, MO. .
